Yoga For Arthritis + Healthy Aging

Motion is lotion. Especially when it comes to managing arthritis, keeping the joints healthy and aging gracefully.

Registered Online Class

This class combines elements of joint mobility, functional movements, gentle yoga done with the support of a chair and restorative yoga poses.

  • Move with more confidence and awareness

  • Keep your body and mind healthy so you can do the activities you love

In this class we focus on gentle strengthening and balancing poses as well as simple dynamic and functional movements so that you can feel more confident in your everyday movement.

Mindfulness and breath awareness are woven into each class to help you stay present and responsive to how your body is feeling as you move.

Everyone has different needs. We emphasize what you can do, exploring modifications to find what works best for your body and developing the skills to listen to the signals that your body is sending you.

Pacing and pain management are also discussed throughout the registered session so that you have a better understanding of how to move safely - and to keep moving.

This class is suitable for anyone looking for a mindful movement class, who has limited mobility or range of motion, stiffness in the joints or inflammation OR for those looking to keep the body moving well and adapting as the body changes. All movements are optional and modifications are given throughout.
