Yoga Nidra and relaxation with Chrissy Lakusta

Explore breathing and relaxation techniques to move into deeper states of relaxation and connection with yourself.

Yoga Nidra is a practice that allows us to experience a relaxed, alert, clear and present state of being.

It helps us see ourselves more clearly and facilitates a letting go of deeper holding patterns that stop us from living life fully, in a wholehearted way. All from a very relaxed, open, spacious and compassionate place.

The key to this is balancing the nervous system, moving out of the stress response and into a place of deep relaxation.

Yoga Nidra provides nourishment and rest to all levels of our being, promoting overall health and well-being. We create understanding and a deeper connection in this space of relaxation.

We all need more rest; conscious rest and replenishment where we can shift out of "doing" mode and into "being" mode.

Class starts with a discussion of yoga philosophy to create context and understanding for our practices. We then move into breathing practices before settling into a 30 minute guided yoga nidra practice done laying down in a comfortable, supported position on the floor.

*Students receive an audio recording of the practices to practice with for the week.
